Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the county seat of Philadelphia County, with which it is coterminous. The city is located in the Northeastern United States along the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers. It is the fifth-most-populous city in the United States, with a population of 1,526,006 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. Philadelphia is also the commercial, cultural, and educational center of the Delaware Valley, home to 6 million people and the country's fifth-largest metropolitan area. The Philadelphia metropolitan division consists of five counties in Pennsylvania and has a population of 4,008,994. Popular nicknames for Philadelphia are Philly and The City of Brotherly Love, the latter of which comes from the literal meaning of the city's name in Greek.
Philadelphia is also home to the Philly Auto Show. The Philadelphia International Auto Show began in 1902, and the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia has been producing the show since 1997. This show includes new concept and exotic cars; as well as auto enthusiast cars. Almost every manufacturer’s display welcomes show-goers to sit inside the vehicles, pop the hood and kick the tires; however no one is allowed to sit in the concept or exotic vehicles as these normally are new to the industry and are heavily photographed by magazine writers.
"Talk about an amazing auto show! The Philly Auto Show is a car enthusast show, allowing spectators to experience the vehicles for themselves. Most auto shows don't allow you to touch or even sit in the vehicles, this show does. Except for the new exotic and concepts cars, the public can sit in the cars along with talking to the owner right on display. I have to say that I had a wonderful time enjoying my passion with cars and on top of that I did not meet one person that wasn't overly nice and welcoming."
